Young Voices a 120m2 sitespecific user-involving public commission at the leisure club of Skolen på Duevej, Frederiksberg DK, 2024
The silhuettes become part of the building and almost grow out of
the walls as irrational and playful elements in union with the
building’s functions and details.
The expression of the work preserves the immediacy that children
create with, an image of life and freedom and together forms
chains of stories and narratives that the viewer and the children
can continue to write on, so that it continues to live.
My goal is for the site specific work to manifest itself as an echo of
the life that is being lived every day in the Club.

Day&Night 2023, Site-specific public commission at the new hospital in Elsinore, Denmark. Project won by an Open
Call arranged by The Council of Elsinore and the National Art Foundation of Denmark.
The two ceramic sculptures are inspired by the form of two natural stones,
found in the wild nature that was there before the hospital was build.
My vision was to create an installation that embrace the visitors when they
arrive openminded, hopeful and perhaps vulnerable at the hospital.
The overall writings on the sculptures come from local citizens everyday thoughts
on health, the meaningful life and community, all words collected and curated
by the artist.
I wanted the work to welcome and mirror the visitors no matter what
state of mind they find themselves in, when they visit. I wanted the
work to somehow comfort them in their vulnerable situation.
By shaping the upscaled ceramic sculptures after these organic stones,
I wanted to connect the untamed nature with the streamlined monumental
building in order to transcend nature and architecture and past and future.
The work is kindly supported by The National Art Foundation,
The city Counsil of Denmark and LF Foghts Foundatioen.
Work produced in collaboration with Tommerup Ceramic workshop.
